Hector Diaz (a.k.a. ArtistDiaz) is a contemporary street artist, muralist, musician, and graphic designer of over 30 years. A native of Florida, and more specifically, West Palm Beach, he has lived and worked in South Florida his entire life. Hector's whimsical style typically takes its inspiration from his obsession with pop-culture and color.
As a young man, Hector attended North Technical Education Center where he received an Associate's Degree in Commercial Art. Having spent most of his career as a Graphic Designer in the corporate world, Hector would spend his free time creating art at the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival, where he first found his passion for public art. After several years "chalking the streets" in Lake Worth, he stepped up his street painting skills and began creating large scale, "anamorphic" 3D street paintings throughout the US and Canada as part of the award winning duo "Chalk Guys". Hector is now certified as a "Maestro" level artist with the Florida Chalk Artist Association, but also enjoys the permanency of working with paints in his street art. He is a full-time artist, but keeps himself busy with graphic design, murals, anamorphic street art and music as his mind can never sit idle for too long.
